2018 is set to be bigger and better than ever before!

With the addition of a second outdoor stage, to be located at Coronation Gardens/Tanskey’s, West Kirby Live 2018 will see more visitors enjoying some fantastic bands in the sun.

We welcome Roxanne Male to the team this year, she will be organising and running our new Arts in the Park area, to be held in Sandlea Park. The Arts in the Park area will feature performances by a variety of local dance and theatre groups as well as stalls selling artwork by local artists. There will be other new music venue additions this year as well as the return of many of our regular venues, including the outdoor stage in front of The Concourse.

Keep an eye on this site for further exciting announcements. This year over 100 different acts will be performing at venues all around West Kirby on Saturday 2nd June. So please, come out enjoy the live music, dance, theatre and hopefully lots of sunshine and lets raise our biggest total for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity ever!

About West Kirby Live

We’re a local group raising money for a local charity – The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

West Kirby Live has been organised by Tom Longman, Luke and Pamela Millward-Browning and Martin Moseley, starting in 2016. The festival was born out of a conversation in which Tom was reminiscing about the Oxjam Festivals formerly held in Hoylake. With those great days in mind, it was decided that it was time for a new local music festival. Luke and Pamela volunteered to help organise the event and with the desire to support a more local charity Clatterbridge Cancer Charity was chosen after discussions with Luke who works at Clatterbridge. The first year saw around 80 local artists and many from around the country come together to perform across 10 venues in West Kirby and more importantly saw over £3000 raised for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. 2017 saw West Kirby Live grow even bigger thanks to support from Tony Woof who helped in running our first outdoor stage. Diane Tremarco helped in producing promotional material that really reflects West Kirby Live and it’s home. With even more acts performing and with many of West Kirby’s bars having their busiest ever days the team managed to more than double 2016s money raised. Over the two years West Kirby Live has raised over £10 000. Now in our third year we will have even more venues, even more acts, plus many other additions to be revealed as part of our aim to raise another £10 000! West Kirby Live 2018 will take place on Saturday 2nd June!
